The red carpet was rolled out. The Chief Minister showed up. And just like that, Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ got a tax-free stamp in Delhi, three days before it hits the screens.

Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut attended special screening of her upcoming film ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ on June 9 at PVR ECX Chanakyapuri in New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was present at the red carpet premiere, along with BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj.

Ahead of the film’s theatrical release, Kangana, along with the film’s team, has been travelling across the country to honour people who have held India together during moments of crisis. The campaign previously visited Bhubaneswar and Raipur before arriving in Delhi.

Kangana’s words at the screening

Kangana used the occasion to publicly thank the Delhi Chief Minister for attending. She said the whole country recognises how Rekha Gupta has governed Delhi. Kangana said there has been a complete transformation of Delhi under her leadership and that Gupta had managed to address environmental and air quality issues in the city through effective measures. She added that these efforts were not appreciated enough, and that when she called to invite Gupta for the screening, the CM immediately agreed. Kangana said she would always be indebted to her. She also extended thanks to other parliamentarians who attended the event.

Senior ministers in attendance

The screening was attended by Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Health and Ayush Pratap Rao Jadhav, Union Minister of Textile Giriraj Singh, and Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood, among other dignitaries.

Delhi CM announces film tax-free

During the screening, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the Delhi government would make ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ tax-free in the capital to encourage wider public viewership.

Rekha Gupta’s remarks on the film

Speaking at the event, Rekha Gupta described Kangana as a strong voice in Parliament who fights for the betterment of cinema and the people of India. She said Kangana voices her opinions both in Parliament and through her films. Gupta praised her for choosing such stories and subjects. She said the film reflects that dedication, service, and patriotism are not just for those in uniform.

Kangana added that these qualities exist within every citizen, and that when it matters most, every Indian steps up for the country. She said the real ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ are the citizens of India.

About the film

The film is a presentation of Dr. Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios and produced by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films, and Paramhans Creations, in association with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film is going to release on June 12, 2026.
